Jay Shree Krishna 🙏 , my dear adbhut friends. Hope you all have been doing great. Feels good to be back after almost four months of hiatus. So thought of saying hiya to you all. But most importantly, I am here to share a little of my happiness with you.
Sometime back, I shared about the Online Basic Sanskrit course (Offered by Chinmaya International Foundation) I had taken up. So it is nearing completion. I was wondering, how do I use the knowledge I learned over the past year? During the Sanskrit classes course, Swami Ji reiterated the importance of reading our Hindu scriptures to get a better understanding.
I had resolved to read some Sanskrit Scriptures, at least a few lines per day. However, I needed to figure out where to begin. My dilemma and confusion vanished when I came across the WhatsApp post shared by one of my Pune friends group. It was about an organization named Geeta Parivar which conducts Geeta learning classes. So it was Bhagawan Krishna’s call to build on my Sanskrit learnings and thus started my association with Geeta Parivar. And through Geeta Parivar, Shrimadbhagavadgita, and of course, the all-pervading Krishna Bhagawan. I am ever grateful to all the Gurus and the technical team that helped me complete two Adhyayahs.
I never felt the effort or any difficulty in learning the 12th and 15th adhyayah as the team Geeta Parivar handheld me throughout and was there with me to save me from any pitfalls. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many young children learning Geeta with so much interest and devotion. All I had to do was attend the class, learn the proper pronunciation, and make a video while reading from the pdf to complete the Geeta Gunjan Level 1. So here I am sharing my happiness and the reason for my joy- Beautiful Geeta Parivar.
A little about Geeta Parivar for those who have yet to hear of the organization… Geeta Pariwar was founded in 1986 by HH Swami Shree Govind dev Giriji Maharaj to impart value education among the children. Geeta Pariwar today has activities in 21 States, and about 5 lakh children are given valuable education. Once I registered through the given link, all my apprehensions about learning the complex 700 hundred shlokas melted away in the warmth and unwavering support the team Geeta Parivar provided. The awesome Geeta Parvar has a superfamily of selfless karyakartas working 24/7. Hence any doubt and difficulty are cleared then and there. They have detailed Sanskrit grammar explanation classes for each adhyayah in most Indian languages. And most importantly, a comprehensive Vivechan Sastra (again in most Indian languages) is conducted during the weekend to deliberate and explain the meaning of each verse of our stupendous holy scripture.
Although I have completed only 2 chapters of 40 shlokas, and good 600+ shlokas are waiting to be imbibed and integrated, which I am sure is nothing short of climbing a mountain. I am confident of conquering this mighty mountain with the steadfast support of my Beloved Geeta Parivar. And I am sure how Krishna Murari Madhav Kanha tiptoed into my life even without my realization he would steer me to be a Good Sadhaka with each passing day and each shloka. And to the ultimate goal of all Sadhaka is to melt into him and become one with him- the all-encompassing eternity of his divine essence.
A curious question may arise to this modern world dweller going through a mundane yet strenuous life. Why should I read Shrimadbhagavadgita? Why should I add one more activity to my already busy life? This beautiful brochure of Geeta Parivar explains it so well in such simple words.

To add to this, I want to share this shloka from the 18th chapter of Shrimadbhagavadgita, the meaning of which I have tried to summarise with my limited understanding. 🙏

भविता न च मे तस्मादन्य: प्रियतरो भुवि || 69||
We, the common man, may not be able to do great deeds for the service of mankind. But we can devote some time to learning and studying the Gita and communicating its precious and powerful message to others in every possible way. As the verse says –
Those who teach the Gita are the dearest to the Krsna. So the best way of obtaining the Grace of the Bhagavan is to propagate his teaching. It is the best form of service to the Paramatma. Here the Lord says that he who propagates His teaching is the dearest of His devotees.
I feel really blessed to be able to learn and also be able to share with you all my happiness. May the slogan ‘Har ghar Geeta, Har kar Geeta’ (Geeta in every home, Geeta in every hand) fructify and become a beautiful reality!
