WhatsApp Reunions

Happy she was to join the cousin’s WhatsApp group.
Excited, she was to reconnect with the cousin’s troop.

Her hopes floating and soaring high.
But the reality was a harsh sigh!

She visualized a healthy camaraderie among cousins to last.
She witnessed their struggle to forget and forgive their past.

Saddened she was to see the cold, unfriendly attitude.
Shocked she was to see their bitterness magnitude.

In all probability, they would never meet.
Even virtually, they wouldn’t bother to greet.

Hopefully, she was to bring a change in their ego stance.
Despondent, she tried to maintain a happy, diplomatic trance.

But grateful she is to life for giving her this reconnecting chance.
