Good Morning friends, Sharing something along these lines for the first time. Don’t know how far this fits in today’s times of over-exposure and over-expression. Nevertheless, felt like sharing with you some emotions of the forlorn love of an era gone by. My amateurish attempt to capture these thoughts. Hope you like it.
Waiting for you for days together
with my eyes eagerly searching for you,
ready to offer you all of my heart and soul.
But couldn’t say, I love you!
I tried to search myself in your eyes.
Desperately craving one loving look from you
Your one casual look made me skip a heartbeat
But couldn’t say, I love you!
Wish I could spend hours together
Wish I could express all my love for you
All emotions trapped in my betrayed lips
As I couldn’t say, I love you!
Wish you could come in the drizzling rain.
And I get drenched while walking with you.
Struggling with the trapped sensations.
As I couldn’t say, I love you!
A few minutes of hesitation.
A couple of hours of confusion.
A lifetime of contrition.
